It really upsets me that the government is allowed to fine you $150,000 because you downloaded a 99 cent song and didn’t pay.

I thought our country was against cruel and unusual punishment. I guess not. When it comes to the entertainment industry they just don’t care as long as the producers make money.

The companies that enforce policies like this are not even the ones who made the “intellectual property.” They’re the ones who make money off the artist and distribute their material.

While there are actual criminals around the world they choose to turn their attention to people who download and distribute files for personal use and not profit.
